Wyndham Inn on Long Wharf
  Newport, Rhode Island is so pretty that we can’t wait to return. My family and I visited the seaside town for the very first time during Easter. We stayed only 3 nights, but we definitely plan to return! We stayed at Wyndham Newport Long Wharf and liked it right away. There is limited parking for the resort, but we didn’t have a problem finding a parking spot. The resort is very nice, with views of the marina and the boats. The staff was friendly and helped us get accommodated right away. Our room was located on the ground level, near the swimming pool. We had a 2-bedroom, 2-bath villa that the kids loved running around in. We had a nice view of the outdoor pool and the garden terrace. The indoor pool was nearby, but the pool and games area was sectioned off by soundproof doors, because we didn’t hear a sound and we were only two doors away. The rooms are very comfortable, and the furnishings are very modern. We really enjoyed the indoor pool, which was heated, had a slide, and even an opening that was connected to the outdoor pool and would let you swim back and forth between them. The Newport area has a lot to offer, too. As newbies to the area, we weren’t sure what there was to see or do. We were given a guide at the check-in desk that gave us a good map of the area and some recommended sights. We visited the marinas and did some touring of the historic homes in the area. Then we drove down to see the mansions that were absolutely stunning! We drove to the haunted mansion and took some pictures, which gave the kids lots of stories to tell at school when they returned. Don’t miss out on any Newport seafood – it is absolutely fabulous, and there are so many places to get it. If you want a nice place to stay for a weekend retreat or a nice extended vacation, then this is the place to do it! The rooms are spacious and quiet, the staff is courteous and helpful, and the area offers a lot of amenities.
