Originally built in 1851, Astors Beechwood Mansion was once a central gathering place for the New York Society. Explore the grounds of this impressive Italianesque mansion and enjoy a guided living history tour complete with era-dressed characters, or attend a murder mystery party. Or explore the most luxurious properties called the Breakers. Although it is dubbed as a “cottage”, this 70-room mansion is designated as a National Historic Landmark. It boasts some of the most historical opulence of the 19th century.
For a more whimsical twist on the traditional real estate affluence, check out the Green Animals Topary Garden. This smaller estate displays over 80 lush garden sculptures ranging from bears, birds and large geometric shapes on 7 acres. And these are just a few of the most exquisite mansions in Newport.
